A Smashing Success: Toby Ng Masterclasses Bring Olympian-Level Training to Vancouver Island
Cross Court Sports is proud to look back on an incredible three days of badminton excellence. Thanks to Canadian Olympian Toby Ng, over 100 players across Vancouver Island experienced world-class coaching—and we were thrilled to be a part of it.
From young beginners picking up a racket for the first time to competitive adults sharpening their tournament skills, the Toby Ng Masterclasses brought the community together in a way we’ve never seen before.
In total, 108 players had the rare opportunity to train with a Canadian Olympian—all for just $30 per session.
What Participants Learned
Toby Ng, who represented Canada at the 2012 London Olympics, brought his expertise in mixed doubles and doubles play to every session. Participants worked on:
